IRAN MANAGEMENT CONSULTANTS ASSOCIATION (IMCA)

Iran Management Consultant Association (IMCA), established in 1998, with around 600 legal and about 200 individual members, applied for membership in ICMCI in 2009. IMCA was audited by Mr. Farhattin  from IMC Turkey on behalf of ICMCI and became a provisional member in November 2009. Mr. M. Kayhan Mirfakhrai, IMCA Chair and Mr. Joobin Bakhtiari, IMCA Board member and treasurer participated in ICMCI Conference in Jordan, they were also assessed by IMC Jordan and received their CMC designation there. Dr. Aneeta Madhok, ICMCI Chair and Dr. Anton Florijan Barisic, Chairman of Association of Management Consultants, Croatia, invited by IMCA, visited Tehran in November 2010 and conducted a one week workshop in consulting process and CMC for 30 Iranian management consultants. They also conducted a CMC assessment session, in which 5 Iranian management consultants received their CMC designation from Croatian Management Consultants Association in which IMCA also acquired experience in CMC process.

Meanwhile, IMCA studied the ICMCI’s CMC process and developed the necessary documents for its own CMC assessment process after full membership, in conjunction with Dr. Barisic. In September 2011, Dr. Anton Florijan Barisic was invited to Iran again. He conducted a workshop in consulting process and CMC for another group of Iranian management consultants. He also conducted a CMC assessment session, and 3 other Iranian management consultants received their CMC designation from Croatian Management Consultants Association in which IMCA acquired more experience in CMC process. . Anton also conducted a CMC auditor course for the existing Iranian CMCs.

Mr. M. Kayhan Mirfakhrai, IMCA Chair participated in ICMCI Taipei congress and its pre-congress seminar, during which, IMCA was audited by ICMCI for full membership. The head auditor for IMCA was Dr. Aneeta Madhok, ICMCI Chair.

IMCA believes that CMC is an important designation which should only be issued to high level educated and experienced management consultants. For this reason IMCA has increased the 3 year minimum experience requirement by ICMCI for CMC candidates to 7 years of experience for Iran.

IMCA hopes for being an active and worthy member for ICMCI and a quality driven association in relation to CMC.
